Stakelogic continues its expansion into the legal US iGaming market. The popular online casino software provider has acquired its third license in the US, this time in Rhode Island. The operator announced this news in February 2024.

The news comes just months after Stakelogic struck an agreement in July 2023 with Bally’s Corporation – Rhode Island’s primary provider of online and land-based casino games – that allowed it to roll out its portfolio of online live dealer games to RI players. The partnership will allow players to access popular live dealer games like roulette, baccarat, and blackjack.

The 2023 agreement with Bally’s came about a month after Rhode Island legislators approved the Rhode Island iGaming bill in June 2023.

Stakelogic’s latest license further cements the brand’s presence in the state, offering its extended catalog of gaming software and technology to players through its partnership with Bally’s.

Stakelogic to Offer More Games

With the latest license, Stakelogic is expected to expand its game offer to RI players following its partnership with Bally’s to take live dealer games online. The reports did not state the type of games Stakelogic will introduce with the most recent license. Alongside online live dealer games, Stakelogic has developed over 250 online slot machines.

Stakelogic CEO Stephan van den Oetelaar said they were excited to present their “content and technology in Rhode Island” but did not go into detail about the type of content they plan to introduce.

Online casinos are legal in just 7 states, indicating the strong, nationwide pushback from local regulators and legislators to iGaming. Before securing its third license in Rhode Island, Stakelogic was greenlighted to offer its licensed software in Pennsylvania and Michigan.

Stakelogic operates in more than 20 markets globally, including in Europe.

About Online Casinos in Rhode Island

Rhode Island is the latest (seventh) state that legalized online gaming in June 2023 with the approval of Senate Bill 948 by the State Senate. The remaining 6 states include Connecticut, Michigan, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Online casinos went live in Rhode Island in July 2024. Bally’s Corporation holds sway on online and land gambling in the state, being the sole brand enabling access to online casino slots (iSlots) and table games (iTables). Its partnership with Stakelogic further strengthens Bally’s position in the market.

The latest iGaming revenue reports from the Rhode Island State Lottery show players collectively spent more than $378 million on iSlots and iTables, with more than $14.7 million in net gaming revenue.

In March 2024, at about the same time when Stakelogic got its RI operating license, White Hat Gaming – a leading online casino solutions company – launched its iGaming player account management (PAM) platform in partnership with Bally’s.

This, along with Stakelogic’s new license, showcases the steady growth of the legal iGaming sector in Rhode Island.
